Martha Thompson

Martha F. Thompson, 83, of Petersburg, passed away on Friday, February 15, 2013 at her residence. Born in Czechoslovakia, she was the daughter of the late Karl and Mathilde Thomas Fietz, and the widow of David E. Thompson. She is survived by a son, Karl H. Thompson and wife, Sandra P. of Concord, North Carolina, Scott Thompson and girlfriend, Joni Williams of Dinwiddie, Marc P. Thompson and wife, Cindy of Dinwiddie; a daughter, Denae White of Petersburg; six grandchildren, Anthony S. Thompson, Sean C. Thompson, Stephen D. White Jr. Marc P. Thompson Jr., Rachel F. Thompson and David C. Thompson; three great-grandchildren, Grayson, Justin and Isabella Thompson. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at the Petersburg Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3935 S. Crater Road. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
