Martha "Louise" Staples Wade, 80, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Saturday, April 3, 2010 at Colonial Heights Health Care Center. She was the daughter of the late James Robert and Lottie Moore Staples, the widow of Otto Russell Wade, and was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, and a former employee of Brown & Williamson Tobacco Company, and Ukrop's Deli. She is survived by three sons, Russell L. Wade, Robert W. Wade and wife, Tereasa, and Rickey A. Wade; a daughter, Janice L. Glass; five grandchildren, Robert W. Wade Jr. and wife, Mindy, Stephanie Wade Prince and husband, Jimmy, Mark V. Glass, Jennifer W. Keefe, and Ryan Blair Greer; three great-grandchildren, Gloria Ryan Prince, Alexis E. Wade, and Bobbi Ann Prince; a brother, Roy E. Staples and wife, Virginia; a sister-in-law, Mildred "Mickey" Staples; and a brother-in-law, Thomas "Tommy" Wade. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 8, 2010 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
