On Monday, March 23, 2009 Marvin (Moe) Hollie of Dinwiddie, born June 27, 1944, passed away at Southside Regional Medical Center after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was retired from Richmond Plastics. He was a dedicated and long time member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #882, and held many chairs including past Worthy Presidents. He was loved by all his Eagle Brothers and Sisters. He was a member of the American Legion Post #2. He was preceded in death by his mother, Daisy V. Kelly. He is survived by a loving son, Charles Kevin Hollie (Nancy); and much loved grandson, Connor O'dell Hollie; two brothers, James Hollie III of Dinwiddie, and Lindsey Moss of Maryland; three sisters, Laura Dooley (Bobby) of Prince George, Bevlee Keegan (Burgess) of Maryland, and Merry Wasmer (Randy) of Maryland; numerous nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, March 26, 2009 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend Dr. Andrew Brockelman officiating. Interment Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George.
