Mary Archer

Mary Sue Archer, 72, of Disputanta, Virginia passed away on Monday, May 09, 2016 at Southside Regional Medical Center. Born in North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late George and Reldy Mull Whisenant; and was also preceded in death by six brothers; and two sisters. Sue was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Archer is survived by her loving husband, Clement "Honey" Archer; two daughters, Tammy Archer and fiancé, Eric Walter, and Lorri Beasley and husband, Vincent; one step-son, Charles "Billy" Archer; three grandchildren, Logan and Rachel Beasley and Lindsay Archer; two brothers, Ralph Whisenant and wife, Betty, and Robert "Bob" Whisenant and wife, Jean; and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 13, 2016 at Southlawn Memorial Park, with the Rev. Robert Paul, officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at the Crater Road Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Home, 3935 S. Crater Road, Petersburg, Virginia 23805. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4240 Park Place Ct., Glen Allen, Virginia 23060.
