Mary Ashby

Mary Guastella Ashby, 95, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2017. Born November 24, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Gaspere and Mary Ann Guastella, and was also preceded in death by her husband, William Lee Ashby; son, Mark S. Ashby; two brothers; and two sisters. She is survived by two sons, Kenneth W. Ashby, William L. Ashby, Jr. and wife, Mary; daughter, Rosemary Ashby; nine grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, D.C. 20090-6011.
