Mary Browder

Mary Ann Browder, 89, of Colonial Heights passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at her home. Born September 3, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Gladys C. Miller and was also preceded in death by her husband, Gerald B. Browder; and granddaughter, Shannon Annette Browder. She retired as a receptionist from Poplar Springs Hospital after over 10 years of service. She was a lifetime member of the VFW #2239, enjoyed knitting and playing bingo, and mostly loved taking care of her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Gerald "Jerry" B. Browder Jr. (Marti), Janis P. Christopher (Dave), Reverend Brian E. Browder (Brenda); daughter-in-law, Pattie C. Browder; grandchildren, Joshua Talley and David J. Browder (Torie); great-grandchildren, Hunter J. Browder, Kendall M. Browder, Kaylie Talley and Olivia Talley and other extended family members. A funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. Interment will be private.
