Mary Burnett

Mary Lou Burnett, 59, of Petersburg, passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at Chippenham Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her father, Arville Maddox, and a son, Jaime Barkman. Mrs. Burnett was baptized in Greenbriar Baptist Church, and was a former member of the Red Hat Society in Florida. She is survived by her husband, James E (Jim) Burnett; children, Rebecca Young of Dinwiddie, Jimmy Barkman and wife, Carolyn of Maryland, and Michael Barkman of Maryland; grandson, Kevin Barkman and wife, Brianne, and five other grandchildren; four sisters; and four brothers. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
