Mary Crittenden

Mary Walker Crittenden, 74, of Chesterfield, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2015 at Johnston-Willis Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late John G. and Eva Parham Walker, and was preceded in death by a sister, Alease Shelton; and a brother, John Walker. Mrs. Crittenden was retired from DuPont as a Technical Assistant with 33 years of service. She loved working in her flower beds and trips to the beach. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Hugh H. Crittenden; a son, David H. Crittenden and wife, Alison; a daughter, Terry Cary and husband, Tom; grandchildren, Drake and Savanah Cary and Hayley Crittenden; a brother, Harry Walker and wife, Faye; sisters, Jean Cousins, Lucille Salmon and Shirley Smith and husband, Jesse; numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend Dwayne Walker officiating. Burial will be held at Blandford Cemetery, 319 S. Crater Road, Petersburg, Virginia.
