Mary Daul

Mary Elizabeth "Liz" Daul, 80, of Colonial Heights, VA went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 7, 2015 at Johnston Willis Medical Center. She was the daughter of late Jeff and Susie Morton Hudson; and was also preceded in death by one brother, Alfred W. Hudson. Mrs. Daul was the former owner of Daul House Furniture, and had also worked for Pleasure Island Restaurant and Chester Furniture where she enjoyed the company of her special friends Gary, Mark, and Philip. She was a member of the FOE Eagles 882. Mrs. Daul was an avid reader and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who was expecting her fifth great-grandchild, Grayson Davis, on February 20, 2016. She is survived by her four children, Sandra Davis Hughes of Chester, VA, Gene Davis and wife, Tricia of Colonial Heights, Robbie Davis and wife, Faith of S. Chesterfield and Karla Ramsey and husband, Gary of S. Chesterfield; one step-son, John C. Daul of Ohio; four siblings, Myrtle Whitmore, Doris Jones, Billy and Melvin Hudson; seven grandchildren, Sean Hughes and wife, Rachel, Anthony and Christina Davis, Chris Davis and wife, Ashley, Kendal Sakiewicz and husband, Shea, Chad Ramsey and wife, Morgan and Cory Ramsey; one step-grandson, Justin Daul; four great-grandchildren, Cullen and Willow Hughes, Olivia and Caroline Ramsey; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 11, 2015 at the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, VA 23834, with the Rev. Mike Osborne, officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George, VA.
