Mary Farthing

Mary Saunders Farthing, 91, of Colonial Heights, Virginia, passed away Saturday, February 10, 2018. Born to the late Ellen Wray and Charles Saunders, Mary was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Jack Farthing and their two sons, Larry and Wade Farthing. A faithful member of Immanuel Baptist Church, Mary was known for being a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and mother-in-law. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Rebecca E. Farthing; her grandchildren, Shane C. Farthing and his wife, Kristin, and Shannon C. Farthing; her sister, Charlotte Diehl, and many other loving relatives. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2018, 11:00 a.m. at Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Road, South Prince George, Virginia 23805. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 20, 2018, between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834.
