Mary Goldy

Mary D. Goldy, 87, of Clarksville, formerly of Colonial Heights, passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2010 at Meadowview Terrace. She was the daughter of the late Joseph E. and Bessie Mann Downey, and the widow of Charles A. Goldy. Mrs. Goldy is survived by two daughters, Joyce L. Smith and husband, Dale of Kenbridge, and Lillian G. Colson and husband, Phillip of Jacksonville, Florida; three sons, Roy E. Stroud of Chesterfield, Joseph L. Stroud and wife, Lisa of Chesterfield, and Michael R. Stroud and wife, Juanita of Selma, North Carolina; ten grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; eighteen great-great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 30, 2010 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend David Hindman officiating. Interment will follow in Bermuda Memorial Park, Enon. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
