Mary Grotz

Mary B. Grotz, 81, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Southside Regional Medical Center. Born in Monroe, Louisiana, she was the daughter of the late John and Effie Mae Blue. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, and a Past Matron of the Alpha Chapter 1 Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Grotz is survived by a daughter, Phyllis Shanahan and husband, John of Colonial Heights; a grandson, Robert Wyatt Walker II of Colonial Heights; a granddaughter, Katie Cooke of Henrico; two great-grandsons, Jude & Jake Cooke; numerous nieces and nephews.
