Mary Harper

Mary "Ann" Harper, 78, passed away at her home in Colonial Heights on Thursday, January 11, 2018. Born to the late Elizabeth Lewis Hefflen Scarboro and James Ernest Davis, Ann was also preceded in death by her son, David Earl Harper; sisters, Agnes (Dolly) Mathis and Roberta (Bobbi) Remy; and her brother, James Linwood Davis. Ann was a loving and dedicated wife and mother and had worked as a school bus driver for the school district of Colonial Heights. Ann is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Alton "Earl" Harper; Daughter, Patricia Harper Kitchen (Richard); her son, Timothy Mark Harper (Patty); her daughter-in-law, Debra C. Harper; and her two grandsons, Michael Wayne Young (Beth) and Brandon Earl Harper. All services were private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or to the American Cancer Society, 3961 Deep Rock Rd, Richmond, VA 23233
