Mary Neathery

Mary R. Neathery, 83, of Chester, passed away Friday, June 3, 2022. She was born in North Carolina on August 24, 1938 to the late Eli and Loretta Cloud Rogers and was preceded in death by her brothers, Billy Jo, Shirley, Taft, Lonnie, and Lee Rogers. Ms. Neathery was a member of Colonial Heights Baptist Church and attended Calvary Baptist Church. She retired as a clerk from Richmond Rubber tire company and was a member of the Colonial Heights Optimist Club and Manchester Women’s Club. She is survived by her sons, Michael M. Neathery (Debra) of Colonial Heights and Dennis W. Neathery (Wilma) of Chester; grandchildren, Eric M. Neathery (Tiffany), Matthew M.  Neathery (Megan), Chad Neathery (Shakanna), and Shannon Neathery; great-grandchildren, Andrew M. Neathery, Olive R. Neathery, and Avery G. Neathery; sister, June Stegerga of Sophia, NC;  Charles  M. Neathery of Diniwiddie, and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, June 10, 2022 at Dale Memorial Park, 10201 Newbys Bridge Road, Chesterfield, Virginia 23832 with Reverend Dr. Ray Haskett officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 9, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E.
