Mary Nichols

Mary Virginia Nichols, 80, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2018, at Southside Regional Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Haywood C. Jessup and Lula Mae Jessup. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lewis C. Nichols Sr. She co-owned Nichols Upholstery with her husband in Petersburg while she was also dedicated to her family as well as her adopted dog, Princess. She is survived by her two children, Lewis C. Nichols Jr. (Belinda) and Deborah Mae Nichols; three grandchildren, Trey Nichols (Becky), Skye Brook Kark (Jamie), and Summer Jean Giehll; two great-grandchildren, Hendrix Leon Nichols and Grayson Leon Nichols; and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Southlawn Memorial Park with the Ronnie Jessup officiating. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory.
