Mary Simmons "Dick" Ozmore, 91, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at the Brighter Living Assisted Living Facility in Hopewell. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Franklin and Lena Mae Williams Simmons; and was also preceded in death by her husband, James Calvin "Tick" Ozmore; and a grandson, Travis E. Phillips, Sr. She was a member of Matoaca Baptist Church and was retired from Brown and Williamson Tobacco Company after 36 years of service. Mrs. Ozmore is survived by two daughters, Judith Ozmore Phillips and husband, Gene of North Carolina, and Mayben Ozmore Killingsworth and husband, Okey of North Dinwiddie; sister, Lena Simmons Rivers and husband, Ed of South Chesterfield; four grandchildren, Tara P. Robinson and husband Rob, James B. Killingsworth and wife, Shereda, Mina K. Thiesing and husband Byron, Richard L. Killingsworth and wife, Pam, 16 great-grandchildren; and two great - great grandchildren. A graveside will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 26, 2015 in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg, VA with the Reverend Donald Joyner, officiating.
