Mary Parsons

Mary Emma Parsons, 80, of Chester, Virginia, and formerly of Huntington, West Virginia went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 12, 2015. Born on May 8, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Othor and Gladys Miller Bias, and was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Herbert Parsons. Mrs. Parsons is survived by her son, Joe Parsons (Melodie); daughter, Susan Cassell (Darryl); grandchildren, Miranda McLaughlin (Kevin), Marissa Parsons, Shelby McDonald (Preston), Noah, Makayla, and Grady; and great-grandchildren, Adelaide and Finley McLaughlin. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 15, 2015 in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George, Virginia. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834.
