Mary Peden

Mary Ellen Peden of Chester, Virginia, was born on October 11, 1949 in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio and passed away at 1:58pm on November 9, 2018 after a long struggle with liver disease. She was preceded in death by her husband, Opha Peden, Sr. and is survived by her beloved son, Jesse; her two stepchildren, Opha Peden Jr. and Tara Alexander; as well as her siblings, Andy Limbach, Jess Limbach and Janice Ruch. Family was very important to Mary Ellen as she valued the companionship of the Pedens after the death of her beloved husband. She also cherished her pets, Grady and Tiffany, who were never far from her side. She was also loved and admired by her friends and coworkers who continued to meet for lunches and dinners long after retirement. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A memorial service to celebrate and share stories about her life and friendships will be held at her graveside in Sunset Memorial Park, 2901 W. Hundred Road, Chester, Virginia 23831 at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 26, 2018. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Richmond SPCA for her love of all animals big and small. Arrangements by the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E.
