Mary Satterfield

Mary Freeman Satterfield was born December 8, 1921 and passed away on June 12, 2016. She was preceded in death by a grandchild, Lesann Rene Herrman. Mary was a long time parishioner of St. Ann Catholic Church in Colonial Heights, and was a former member of the Catholic Daughters Court of Regina Coeli. She was a retired antique dealer and former partner in SOLD, Inc. Mary is survived by her husband of 74, years, Thurmon C. Satterfield; five daughters, Mary Royetta Huber (Russ), Barbara Louise Herrmann, Leslie Ann Cundiff (Ernie), Kathryn Leigh Alter (Jim), Elizabeth Jean Gillie (Dru); grandchildren, Chris, Mike, Shaun, Patrick, Joshua, John, Sarah, Aliese, Emma, Hannah, and Jacob; ten great-grandchildren; one close niece and nephew, Ann and Ronald Harakal; and last but not least, her constant companion and favorite dog, Jo. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at St. Ann Catholic Church, 17111 Jefferson Davis Hwy, South Chesterfield, Virginia 23834, with Fr. Lou Ruoff officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, S. Prince George. The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 14, 2016 from 7:00-8:00 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
