Mary Schaefer

Mary Ann Schaefer, 79, of Colonial Heights, passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at Southside Regional Medical Center. She was born on October 22, 1934 in New York to the late Walter J. and Florence Stafford Stanton. Mrs. Schaefer was a member of Highland United Methodist Church in Colonial Heights, the Hopewell Moose Lodge and the local Red Hat Society. She is survived by her loving husband, Raymond A. Schaefer Sr.; sons, Bill, Jim, Gary, and Danny Bartholomew and Raymond A. Schaefer Jr.; daughters, Kathleen Bartholomew, and Kathy Swader; thirteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren. There will be a Women of the Moose service at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, with visitation to follow until 8:30 p.m. Funeral services will be private.
