Mary Sheffield

Mary Bishop Sheffield, 84, of Chesterfield, passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at Heritage Hall Health Care, Blackstone. She was the daughter of the late Joseph B. and Bessie Mayes Bishop, and the widow of Horace Elmo Sheffield. She is survived by two sons; Horace E. Sheffield Jr. of Gloucester, and Garland C. Price III and wife, Diane of Richmond; five grandchildren, Cindy, Thomas & David Price, and Steven & Donald Sheffield; a brother, Joe Bishop; and four sisters, Barbara Badershall, Audrey Harris, Ethel Ball, and Phyllis Williams. A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 16, 2009 in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg with the Reverend David Prather officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday (tonight) from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard
