Mary Ellen Elizabeth St. Amour, 65, of Disputanta, VA, passed away in Petersburg, VA, at Southside Regional Memorial Center, surrounded by loved ones on January 21, 2024. She was born in Montebello, CA at Beverly Hospital on July 4th, 1958, to Mary and John Mosler. The Mosler kids were legendary for their shenanigans around Big Bear Lake. Mary Ellen often told hilarious stories about the mischief she and Eileen would get into. They loved fishing at Stanfield Cutoff together and could often be seen riding their bikes down the “big hill”. Eileen said she was an excellent fisher and could always catch a trout. Mary Ellen met the love of her life, Thomas, in October of 1980 while stationed in Yakima, Washington, with the US Army. While their story started like most relationships, Tom and Mary Ellen soon knew they had something extraordinary. Excited to begin their life together, the two were married on February 13, 1981 in Yakima, WA. They started a family soon after. Though she loved her “just a half a cup of coffee,” her “hey Google” adventures, and her fury companion, Odie, Mary Ellen’s favorite role was that of a grandparent. She treasured her time with her grandkids, Grace, Hope, and Guiliano. Mary Ellen loved being their grandma, never failing to bring smiles to their faces. She will be missed every day. Mary Ellen’s memory will live on in the hearts of all those who knew and loved her. Mary Ellen is survived by her husband of 43 years, Thomas St. Amour of Disputanta, VA. She is survived by her sons, John Paul; wife, Faith of Coopersburg, PA; Mace and wife Luci of Crewe, VA. Mary Ellen is survived by siblings Debbie Klein of Glendora, CA; Maureen & Larry Hehr of Fredonia, ND; Teana Papalas of Las Vegas, NV; and Eileen & Joe Prieur of Apple Valley, CA. Mary Ellen is also survived by grandkids Grace, Hope, and Guiliano. Mary Ellen is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Ellen Mosler, her father, John Robert Mosler, sister Colleen Theresa Frees, and brother John Thomas Mosler. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 28, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Crater Road Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 3935 S.
