Mary Wray

Mary C. Wray, 84, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at the Dunlop House in Colonial Heights. Born June 4, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Addie Cole, and was also preceded in death by her husband, Jesse B. Wray, Sr. For 33 years, Mary worked for Brown and Williamson until she retired. She is survived by her sons, Jesse B. Wray, Jr. of Dinwiddie, Darrell B. Wray of Tennessee, Thomas B. Wray of Sutherland; grandchildren, Jessica B. Wray of Dinwiddie, Bruce Wray II of Dinwiddie, Aaron Wray of Colorado; step-grandchildren, Marilyn Michalek of Prince George, Robert Harrison of Chester, Margaret LaPrade of Matoaca; sisters, Bertha C. Hood of Martinsville; brother, Wayne Cole of Chesterfield; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, with the Reverend George Dembeck officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, S. Prince George. The family will receive friends Monday night, January 16, 2017 from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
