Mary Ann Daniel Yeatts 83, of Chesterfield, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at Lucy Corr Convalescent Center. Born in Blackstone, Va., she was the daughter of the late Robert Daniel, Sr. and Minnie Daniel, and was also preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Fred T. Yeatts, Jr.; daughter, Betty Jones; son, Fred Yeatts, III, sisters, Lucille Reese and Judy Edmonds and brothers, Pete Daniel and Bubba Daniel. Mrs. Yeatts was a long-time resident of Petersburg and worked at Brown and Williams for many years. She moved to Chesterfield County in 1986. She loved her family and friends. She enjoyed a good cup of coffee, country music and crafting of all kinds. Her greatest joy was becoming a grandmother. Some of her happiest moments were spent with a house full of her family at the holidays. Mrs. Yeatts is survived by four of her children, James "Eddie" Yeatts (Tootsie), Debbie Henshaw (Mike), Teddy Yeatts (April), and Cindy Lowman (Terry); Angie Yeatts and Steve Jones, Sr.; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Daniel, Jr. and sister, Donna Kay Rust (Miles) both of Blackstone, VA; sister-in-law and close friend, Gail Y. Toney (Fred) of , brothers-in-law Ronnie Yeatts (Maria) of Early, TX and Johnny Summers (Felicia) of Lubbock, TX; longtime close friend, Nancy Valenta and a host of nieces and nephews and more. The family would like to acknowledge their mom’s special care giver, Rachel Jennings, CNA who loved and cared for her the last 5 years of her life. Mom truly loved this woman. She had others there that also need to be acknowledged: Eric, Chris, Mike, Hailey, Roslyn, Michelle, Donna and more. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 6, 2023, in the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 2033 Boulevard Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park S. Prince George, Virginia. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 5, 2023, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
