Matie Mclaughlin

Mattie Thompson McLaughlin of Arlington, Va. formerly of DeWitt, Va., was born on August 6, 1928 passed away on Friday, September 17, 2010. She leaves behind three children, John, Sharon, and Joy; two brothers, Kenneth and George Alvis Thompson; numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 21, 2010 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend Karen Workman officiating. Burial to follow at 2:30 p.m. in Asbury Memorial Cemetery, McKenney, Va. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Monday (tonight) at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Tom Floyd Aging with Dignity Fund, 4435 N.
