Maureen Gunner Pinelli, 61, of Colonial Heights, was called home to Our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, July 27, 2011, surrounded by her family and loved ones. Born in Teaneck, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late John and Catherine Gunner. Maureen was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, and a member of the American Legion Unit #284 Auxiliary, where she served as president of Unit #284 and the 11th District of the American Legion. Maureen's greatest legacy is her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her devoted husband, C. David Pinelli Jr.; her three children, Cyndi Daub of New Bern, North Carolina, C. David Pinelli III of Minot, North Dakota and Dyana Mullins of Chesterfield; seven grandchildren; her siblings, Jacqueline G. Bylsma of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, John Gunner of Clarksville, Maryland and Jeanne Gunner of Anaheim, California; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 12 noon Monday, August 1, 2011 in St. Ann Catholic Church, 17111 Jefferson Davis Highway, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834 with Father Lou Ruoff as celebrant. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with an American Legion Auxiliary service beginning at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Crater Community Hospice, 3916 S.
