Maxine Wray

Maxine Mayton Wray, 81, of Henrico, passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2010 at St. Mary's Hospital. Born in Petersburg, she was the daughter of the late Bernard D. and Beulah Tudor Mayton, and the widow of Reuben O. Wray. Mrs. Wray was a former member of West End Baptist Church, and was a retired Inspector with Titmus Optical. She is survived by her son, Ricky Lee Wray of Chester; a daughter, Anne Loftin; a granddaughter, Melissa Loftin; and great-grandson, Dustin Barden all of Mechanicsville. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 23, 2010 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend Dr. Carol McCann officiating. Interment will follow in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
