Melvin Anderson Sr.

Melvin "Dikey" Anderson Sr., 78, of Matoaca, passed away Thursday, September 27, 2012 at his residence. He was the son of the late Robert Lee Anderson and Clarice Frye Anderson Jackson. He was a member of Matoaca United Methodist Church. Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife, Alma Anderson; daughter, Anita Anderson; sons, Melvin Lee Anderson Jr. and wife, Debora, Dr. Danny Anderson Sr. and wife, Catherine; special nephew, Richard Fable and wife, Merrily; six grandchildren, Melvin Lee Anderson III and wife, Jamie, Melissa Delicáte, Gregory Anderson and wife, Lisa, Amanda Johnson, Danny Anderson Jr. and Cailynn Anderson; four great-grandchildren; sister, Margaret Autman and husband, Preston; sister-in-law, Mary Lou Anderson; special devoted friends, Harold and Jackie Neverson; special niece, Nancye Keene and husband, Campbell. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 29, 2012 in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George with the Reverend Richard Gordon officiating. The funeral procession will depart at 1:45 p.m. Saturday from the Petersburg Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3935 S. Crater Road.
