Michael Curlee

Michael H. Curlee, 66, of Petersburg, died 1 June 2009, at Southside Regional Medical Center, Petersburg, after a lengthy illness. Born in Albermarle, North Carolina, he resided in Petersburg since 1978. Mr. Curlee was a veteran of the US Army, having served in Vietnam, after 20 years of dedicated service. Survivors include his wife, Glenda; sons, Andreas (Angela) and Michael (Zureena), his mother, Lucille C. Curlee; two grandchildren, Christian and Leila. Friends may call from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the Petersburg Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3935 S. Crater Road. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hospice of Virginia, 7231 Forest Avenue, Suite 100, Richmond, Virginia 23226. Interment will be at Quantico National Cemetery, Triangle, Virginia.
