Michael Gee

Michael Crafton Gee, 74, of Colonial Heights, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2019. He was born to the late Ullmont "Mike" Felts Gee and Margaret Crafton Gee on June 10, 1944. Mr. Gee was a United States Army Vietnam veteran having served with the First Air Cavalry from 1968 to 1969 and was a retired Chief of Training and Development for the Division of the Civilian Personnel Office at Fort Lee. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, a member of American Legion Post 284, past President of the Colonial Heights Lions Club, and past PTO President of Tussing Elementary School. He is survived by his daughters, Betsy Gee Johnson (Corey), and Margaret Gee Alderson (Mickey); grandchildren, Braden and Wilson Johnson, and Spencer and Catherine Alderson; sister, Phyllis Gee Wacker; former wife, Sally Spence Gee; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, February 18, 2019 at Wesley United Methodist Church, 3701 Conduit Road, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834 with the Reverend L. Raymond McGarr officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service beginning at 10 a.m. Interment at Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George will take place following the service. Arrangements made by the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834.
