Michael Langford

Michael W. Langford, 59, of Hopewell, passed away on Monday, August 17, 2015 at his residence. He was the son of the late Ernest R. and Josephine Garner Langford. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Gongloff Langford; and a sister, Mary Alice Ackerman. Mr. Langford was retired from Philip Morris Tobacco Company, and loved hunting & fishing. He is survived by his daughter, Courtney Allen of Colonial Heights; his son, Corey Langford of Hopewell; grandsons, Chance and Sean Allen; a brother, Ernest R. Langford Jr.; a sister, Patricia Bryant; nephews, Marcus Ackerman, William Bryant III and Matthew Langford; a niece, Melanie Browning; good friend, James Jordan; dedicated friends, Jimmy & Wanda Davis and Boo McGee. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 22, 2015 with Pastor Pat Elder officiating at the E.
