Michael Seitz Sr.

Michael Dale Seitz Sr. went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Monday, July 9, 2018, at the age of 68. As a lifelong resident of Prince George County, he was a 1971 graduate of Prince George High School and remained a loyal fan of green and gold. He was a former member of the Prince George Emergency Crew and continued to support his community. He was a faithful member of Rosewood Presbyterian Church for many years. He worked diligently to provide for his family, at Philip Morris for 30 years. He enjoyed making anyone around him laugh. He was a devoted husband, son, father and grandfather, his family was the light of his life. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Carl O. Seitz and his brother, Donald K. Seitz. He is survived by his mother, Eula Seitz Carr; his loving wife of 43 years, Catherine Babb Seitz; sons, Michael Seitz Jr. (Chrissy) and Timothy Seitz (Adrianne) and grandchildren, Emma, Macy, Kaylee, Kaleb and Kaiden. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 14, 2018 at the Crater Road Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3935 S. Crater Road, Petersburg, Virginia 23805 with the Reverend Charles Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, S. Prince George, Virginia. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 13, 2018 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Prince George Fire and EMS Services, P.O.
