Mildred Crocker Bookout, 99, of Petersburg, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Southside Regional Medical Center. Born in Petersburg on May 7, 1920, she was the daughter of the late, Shellie V. and Nettie Adkins Crocker. Mrs. Bookout was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur L. Crocker; and a sister, Iradell C. Newcomb. Mildred is survived by her son, Daniel S. Bookout and wife, Peggy of Chesterfield; and a grandson, Christopher Daniel Bookout of Colonial Heights. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2019 in Blandford Cemetery, 319 S. Crater Road, Petersburg, Virginia 23803. Arrangements by the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, 23834.
