Mildred Glenn Fisher, 87, of Colonial Heights, VA formally of Augusta, GA, died peacefully on April 8, 2016 at Vibra Hospital in Richmond, VA. Born October 1, 1928, in Tunis, Tunisia, she is predeceased by her loving parents, Charles and Antonia Alder, DDS of Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland. Mildred was active in the artist community within Colonial Heights for the past 10 years. Her passion for painting spanned over her entire life. Survivors include Gayle (Joe) Olszyk of Colonial Heights, VA, Kenneth (Jackie) Fisher of Tampa, Florida, and Debora (Stephen) Baker, MD of Charleston, SC. In addition four grandchildren, Jason Olszyk, Ryan Fisher, Shannon Fisher, and Seth Baker will remember their loving grandmother. Two great grandchildren will miss growing up without her constant loving affection; Aaron Olszyk of Dallas, Georgia and Abigail Fisher of Tampa, Florida. A celebration tea service will be planned for later in April to share our many wonderful stories of Mildred. Emails will be sent out to advise date and time. A formal funeral service will be conducted next spring, 2017, in Switzerland. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be given to the Red Cross which meant so much to her from early years during WWII to volunteering for over 25 years.
