Mildred Lester

Mildred M. Lester, 82, of Dinwiddie, passed away on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 in Chippenham Medical Center. Born in Halifax County, she was the daughter of the late Joe M. and Alice Farmer Moore, and the widow of Jordan Thomas Lester. Mrs. Lester was a member of Matoaca Baptist Church and a retired PBX Operator for Southside Regional Medical Center. Survivors include a son, Mickey Thomas Lester; a daughter, Sheri Lester Kirk both of Dinwiddie; two grandchildren, Michael Thomas Lester and Stacey Lynn Lester; two great-grandchildren, Mallory Faith Lester and Chase Lester; a sister, Frances Moore Landrum of Nathalie, Virginia. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 12, 2012 in the Matoaca Baptist Church, 6409 River Road, Matoaca, Virginia 23803 with the Reverend Donald Joyner officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday prior to the service at church. Arrangements by the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E.
