Millicent Young Kissner, 94, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Wednesday, April 7, 2021. Born in Dinwiddie County on March 5, 1927, she was the daughter of the late William L. and Nellie Knott Young. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie J. Kissner and son, David Young Kissner.
Mrs. Kissner was a member of Lake Gaston Baptist Church in Littleton, North Carolina. She worked for the Commissioner of the Revenue’s office in Colonial Heights. She enjoyed water skiing in her younger years and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her sons, William Alan Kissner and wife, Pam and Donald Wayne Kissner; grandchildren, David Young Kissner II and wife, Tina, Kevin Alan Kissner and wife, Lora, and William Nathan Kissner and wife, Erin; grand-godson, Thomas Benjamin Hunziger and wife, Aljona; great-grandchildren, Jessa Dawn Sadler and husband, Aaron, Luke John Kissner, Jared Young Kissner, Jillian Sue Vaughan and husband, Joshua, Peyton Alan Kissner, Leighanna Gayle Kissner, Liam James Kissner, Hayes Francis Kissner, Derek DeVault and Carson DeVault; great-great granddaughters, Chandler and Reagan Sadler.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 12, 2021 in the Crater Road Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3935 S. Crater Road, Petersburg, Virginia 23805. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, S. Prince George, Virginia. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday prior to the service at the funeral home.
