Mollie Belcher

Mollie E. Belcher, 79, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2009. Mrs. Belcher was a native of Halifax County, North Carolina, and was the daughter of the late Jesse W. and Ruby Peace Landen. She attended Pine Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. Belcher is survived by her children, Beverly Belcher Emory and husband, Billy of Petersburg, Karen Belcher Ventimiglia and husband, Steven of Petersburg, Jesse Maitland and wife, Shelby of Chester, Bernard Earl Belcher Jr. and wife, Susan of Colonial Heights, Brian Belcher and wife, Gloria of Petersburg, and Douglas Belcher and wife, Tammy of Carson; twelve grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Hoylman of Chester, Mary Belcher of Chester, Joyce Waddell of Stony Creek, Ann Knowling of Matoaca, Ruth Hathcock of Colonial Heights, and Linda Vance of Hopewell. A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 27, 2009 at Colonial Christian Church, 295 Dunlop Farms Boulevard, with the Reverend Clay Boyd, and the Reverend Rodney Jenkins officiating. Interment private. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
