Myra Helen Draper Campbell, 75, of Colonial Heights went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 27, 2008 at St. Francis Medical Center. She was born on February 25, 1933 in Roanoke, to the late Wilmer C. Draper and Helen Lindsey Draper. She was educated in the Roanoke County Public Schools and later attended Virginia Commonwealth University. Myra was married at Cave Spring Methodist Church to the late E.G. Campbell Jr. She retired after many years as an inspector at Deluxe Check Printers in Richmond. Myra was a gifted musician, studied piano & voice, and served in churches and synagogues from early youth to throughout her life. She has always been a devoted and active church member wherever she lived. She taught preschool at Aldersgate United Methodist Church. She was a member of Colonial Heights Presbyterian Church for 24 years, serving the community in many ways - elder, choir, women's circle, and fellowship. She is survived by her children, John David Campbell, Elise C. Munsey and husband, Michael H. Munsey, Paul Draper Campbell, Susan C. Davis and husband, Zane G. Davis Jr.; grandchildren, Joanna Elise Munsey Merritt and husband Kevin Paul Merritt, Daniel Preston Munsey and wife Alexandria Nicole Munsey, Michael Grady Campbell, Zane G. Davis III, and Amanda Marie Davis; great-grandchildren, Lindsay Elizabeth Merritt, Alexander Munsey Merritt; two sisters, Mary E. Diamond, and Josephine Lindsey Draper Woodmansee. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at the Colonial Heights Presbyterian Church with Dr. Paul W. Bonham officiating. Internment will be at Mt Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery in Floyd, Virginia at a later date. The family will receive friends following the church service.
