Myrtle Adel Bare, of Colonial Heights, passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2011. She was the daughter of the late James and Pearl Bland Alvis and the widow of Kendall Bare. Mrs. Bare was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Colonial Heights and a former member of Ocran United Methodist Church in Sutherland. She is survived by her daughters, Patricia B. Sinkiewicz and husband, John, Deborah B. Tomlin and husband, Charles all of Colonial Heights; son, Kendall R. Bare and wife, Teresa of Chesterfield; two sisters, Grace A. Daniel of Urbana, and Georgia A. Johnson of Henrico; fourteen grandchildren; and twenty eight great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 15, 2011 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend Deborah Fair officiating. Interment will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday in Thornrose Cemetery, Staunton, Virginia.
