N. Bass Jr.

N. Thomas Bass Jr., 78, of Richmond, died Saturday, November 26, 2011 in Chippenham Medical Center. He was the son of the late Needham Thomas Bass Sr. and Simmia Austin Bass, and the widower of Myrtle Jeannine Bass. Mr. Bass was a veteran of the United States Army and the Virginia National Guard. Survivors include a brother, David H. Bass and wife, Patricia Ann of Colonial Heights; two sisters, Irene Wood of Alexandria, Virginia, and Linda Malo of Colonial Heights; six nieces and nephews. Before his illness, he enjoyed attending the Community Christian Fellowship Church where he met with his friends, especially Greg. The family would like to thank his special friend, Pamela Krueth for her kindness and concern for him the last several years. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, with the Reverend Jim Burton officiating. Interment Thursday, 1:30 p.m., Blue Ridge Memorial Park, Roanoke, Virginia. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening after the service.
