Nancy Fortune

Nancy Fackler Fortune, 64, of Augusta County, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at the Shenandoah House in Fishersville, Va. She was the daughter of the late William Fackler and Myrtle Washburn. Mrs. Fortune was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church, Fishersville, and was a former employee of Ukrop's. She is survived by her husband, Marvin C. Fortune; a son, Scott Fortune and wife, Tammy; a daughter, Brenda F. Holmes and husband, Richard of Chesterfield; five grandchildren, Shannon Fortune, Todd Garrison, Allen Holmes and wife, Amy, Philip, and Brandon Holmes; two brothers, William Fackler of Fayetteville, N.C., and Charles Fackler of Hollywood Fla.; and a sister, Bernice Seay of Cary, N.C. A funeral service will take place 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 30, 2009 in the Colonial Heights chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, with the Reverend William Johnson officiating. Interment Dale Memorial Park, Chesterfield, Va. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening (tonight) from 7-8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
