Nancy Price

Nancy Procise Price passed away at her home on Thursday May 23, 2013 following a period of declining health. A lifelong residence of Colonial Heights, Nancy Carol was born July 1, 1938 the only child of the late John William "Willie" Procise and Glynis Bryant Procise. Nancy retired from the US Army Logistics Management College at Fort Lee in 1994. Before her health declined Nancy was an active member of Highland United Methodist Church in Colonial Heights since 2002. She was previously a life member of West End Baptist Church in Petersburg. At Highland she enjoyed her involvement in the Morning Star Sunday School Class, the Ann Douglas Guild Circle and the Joy Club. She was a 30 year plus member of the Women of the Moose, Hopewell Chapter 1180, she was honored to serve as the Chapter's Senior Regent in 1990-1991 and to obtain her College of Regents Degree. Nancy was a member of the Friendship Club of Ettrick, The Triple L Club of West End Baptist Church and the Golden Years Club of Woodpecker Grange. She very much enjoyed singing with her friends of the Southernaires and having lunch with friends of the Tri City Dizzy Bees of the Red Hat Society Nancy was much loved and will be greatly missed. The family wishes to express their appreciation to Linda and Joyce from Hospice of Virginia for their compassionate and tender care of Nancy. She is survived by her husband of 49 years Jerry Dwayne Price and their only son Bradley. A funeral service will be held 7:00 p.m. Tuesday May 28, 2013 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend William Rawlings and the Reverend Dr. Dorothy O'Quinn officiating. Interment will be Private in Sunset Memorial Park Chester, Virginia. The family will receive friends Tuesday prior to the service from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
