Nancy Robertson

Nancy Stewart Robertson, 89, of Colonial Heights, passed away Friday, December 17, 2021, at her residence with her loving family by her side.  She was born May 21, 1932, in Oxford, Mississippi to the late Ellis and Leona Wood Stewart, and was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee “Chic” Robertson; son, Walter Eugene Robertson; and sister, Sherri Stewart.  Nancy attended University High School in Oxford, Mississippi.  She was the former owner of Robertson Custom Framing; she then went to work at Macy’s and finally retired from Petersburg Tourism Department. Her favorite thing in life was to travel and she especially enjoyed spending time at the family river house at the Chesapeake Bay with her family and friends.  She is survived by her son, Stewart Lee Robertson and his wife Janet B.; grandson, Stewart Scott Robertson and his wife Colleen; granddaughter, Julie Paige Trapp and her husband David; great-grandchildren, Brooke Robertson, Sara Orren, Jake Speight, Delaney Robertson, and Walter Trapp; brother, Joe “Bud” Stewart and wife Fonda; and many nieces and nephews in Oxford, Mississippi. A graveside service will be held at 12 Noon Thursday, December 23, 2021, at Southlawn Memorial Park 1911 Birdsong Road, S. Price George, Virginia 23805. The family will receive friends Thursday, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 2033 Boulevard Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to your local hospice in memory of Nancy.
