Nancy Grey Archer Valenta

Nancy Grey Archer Valenta, 85, of Colonial Heights, Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2023. Born in Ettrick, Virginia, on September 20, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Charles C. Archer and Ina Worley Archer. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bobby” Joseph Valenta, Sr.; son, Robert “Jay” Joseph Valenta, Jr.; and her brother, Charles “Pickle” Archer.

Nancy was a longtime member of Ettrick Fellowship Church. She retired from Brown & Williamson Tobacco Company after dedicating 21 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Theresa Ann Valenta Bulifant and husband, Robert; grandson, Thomas L. Cunningham and wife, Andrea Wilkins; great-grandson, Henry L. Cunningham; granddaughter, Tiffany N. Valenta; special cousin, Maureen Cardwell; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at Dunlop Farms Senior Clubhouse, 1000 Dunlop Place Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834. Interment will be private. Arrangements by the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory.
