Nancy Lou Hartle Walker went home to be with her Heavenly Father and her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday, November 23, 2014. She was born to Jesse Hartle and Eva Crawford Hartle. Nancy was a full-time homemaker and then continued to help her children with their in-home childcare services where she would spoil the little ones rotten. She loved, not only her own children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, but also all the little ones she helped take care of through the years. Nancy always said that a child is a gift straight from the throne of God and what a loving gift they are. Nancy loved people in general, and would be smiling before they even got to the door to visit her. In her spare time, Nancy also enjoyed writing song lyrics and won several awards doing a hobby she was very passionate about. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Dwight M. Walker, whom she never stopped loving or missing; two sons, David Lee Walker and Jeffery Blake Walker; granddaughter, Megan Nicole Walker; and five sisters, Evelyn Davis, Jessie Mae Millard, Faith Marie Turner, Dorothy Mason Hartle, and June Butler. Her memory will forever be cherished by her son, Mike Walker and wife, Kitty of Deltaville, Virginia; three daughters, Jill Mitchell and husband, Steve of Wilmington, North Carolina, Jodie Pullano and husband, Lance, and Kim Hughes and husband, John all of Chesterfield; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a very special friend, John Gilbert Milton; and a multitude of family and friends. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with Pastor Ryan Atchison officiating. Burial will follow in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Condolences may be registered at www.ealvinsmall.com.
