Nasser Sabah Zaki, 47, of Miami Beach, Florida, formerly of Petersburg, Virginia passed away unexpectedly on his birthday, January 23, 2023. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ihsan and Naderah Zaki; maternal grandparents, Curtis and Dorothy Rideout; uncles, Khair Rabatah and Jack Cooley; aunt, Cathy Resnick.
Nasser was a graduate of Prince George High School, Class of 1994. In high school, he loved playing sports, and was a top ranked tennis player during his time there. He then attended Virginia Tech, where he graduated in 1998. After graduation, Nasser leaped into the work force, working in IT Sales for many years. He enjoyed his life in Miami Beach and spending time with his friends, but most of all, he cherished the time he was able to spend with his beloved family.
He is survived by his loving parents, Sabah Ihsan and Brenda Rideout Zaki; uncles, Tareef Zaki and wife, Kadeegeh, Nasser Ihsan Zaki and wife, Sirin Abdulhati, Ismat Zaki and wife, Gadah Hendawi, Tommy Rideout; aunts, Ahlam Abuakeel and husband, Ali, Tilda Burfoot; and numerous cousins, other extended family members and many dear friends.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at the Crater Road Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 3935 S. Crater Road, Petersburg, Virginia 23805. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, February 3, 2023 at the funeral home. Online condolences may be registered at www.ealvinsmall.com.
