Nellie Katcham

Nellie H. Katcham, 91, of Colonial Heights, loving mother passed away peacefully on Friday, April 5, 2013 at Southside Regional Medical Center. Born in Orange County, Virginia she was the daughter of the late Benjamin H. and Elizabeth Mitchell Hensley, and the widow of Samuel J. "Sam" Katcham. Mrs. Katcham was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She is survived by a son, James C. Katcham and wife, Patsy of Chesterfield; two daughters, Millie Por and husband, Dave of Chesterfield and Lee Trainum and husband, Jerry of Colonial Heights; eight grandchildren, Kathy Wheeler, Michael Katcham, Sandy Whiteside, Melanie Por, Kyle Por, Lori Trainum, Kim Buffalow, Brandy Peltzer, and Thomas Terry; six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 8, 2013 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend Fred Adkins officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
