Nellie Minetree Young Spain Nellie Minetree Young Spain, 85, of Colonial Heights, VA passed away on Friday, January 27, 2017 at John Randolph Medical Center. Born in Petersburg, VA she was the daughter of the late Charles Calvin and Amanda Jane Watson Minetree; and was also preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Willis Minetree. Mrs. Spain retired from Circuit City in 1992. She is survived by one son, Rusty Spain and wife, Darby of Colonial Heights; a daughter, Sheryl Foresta of Melbourne, FL; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Boy Scout Troop 178, C/O Ivey Memorial United Methodist Church, 17120 Jefferson Davis Hwy., S. Chesterfield, VA 23834.
