Nellie Woodson

Mrs. Nellie Noel Woodson (Nana), age 95, of Wilkesboro, North Carolina, a former resident of Colonial Heights, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at Wilkes Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Woodson was born July 22, 1919 in Louisa County, Virginia to the late William R. Noel and Ola Hollins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Laurence Randolph Woodson, and her siblings, Dorothy (Dot) Morris, Wilson Noel, and Julian Noel. Mrs. Woodson was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, and a former employee with Tots and Teens, and Sandler's Dress Shop for many years. She is survived by one daughter, Carol Noble of the home; three grandchildren, Mike Noble and wife, Donna, Joe Noble and wife, Teresa, Bobbie Barton and husband, Chuck; seven great grandchildren, Christopher Noble, Cayla Noble, Carly Noble, Trip Barton, Charles Noble, Michelle Noble and Zeke Barton. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 26, 2014 at Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Road, Prince George, Virginia 23805 with the Reverend Charles Thompson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the graveside service at the cemetery. Memorials may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church, 620 Lafayette Avenue, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834.
