Nelson Nugent Sr.

Nelson Ricardo Nugent Sr., 78, of Colonial Heights, died December 20, 2008 at his residence. He was the son of the late George O. and Janie McFadden Nugent and was preceded in death by his brother Robert Nugent. Mr. Nugent was a United States Army Veteran, and retired from Reynolds Metal after 37 years. He also worked for Square One for over a decade. Mr. Nugent was a member of American Legion Post 284 and an Assistant Boy Scout Master for Troop 187. Nelson is survived by his wife, Mary (Peggy) Clements Nugent; children, Nelson (Rick) Nugent Jr., (Karen Bailey) of Richmond, G. Lee Nugent (Veronica Braun) of Colonial Heights, Robin E. Repetti (John) of Las Vegas, NV.; grandchildren, Jeremy L. Nugent (Joy) of Petersburg, Ashley R. Elder (Ricky) of Petersburg, Ryan L. Nugent of Colonial Heights, Joseph A. Repetti of Las Vegas; step grandchildren; John A. Repetti Jr., and Toni A. Repetti; a sister, Jane Nugent; one niece, six nephews, several step-great grandchildren, several cousins and many close friends and love ones. A graveside service will take place 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George, with Father John Ayers officiating. There will be an American Legion service 7:00 p.m. Monday, December 22, 2008 with visitation to follow till 8:30 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E.
